Biography

Hello everyone! My name is Ravi Siddappa, and I'm thrilled to be joining the MIDS Summer '24 cohort from Phoenix, AZ. I come with a background in Engineering/Supply Chain Management, holding a BS in Polymer Science from Mysore University, an MS in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and a Master of Supply Chain Management from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. I currently work in Intel’s global supply chain group.

I am returning to the academic grind to master data science skills with an emphasis on data quality, ethics, machine learning, prompt engineering, and computer vision. My prior experience includes roles in manufacturing, operations, product design, and program management across the electronic, automotive, building materials, and semiconductor industries. I am interested in using equipment data to enable an AI-automated factory of the future, achieving process matching and waste elimination. Additionally, I am keen on embedding ethics and reducing bias in neural networks to achieve harmony between humans and machines. I am excited to interact with and learn from the best at Berkeley.
