Speaking Up In Public: Practice Your Voice In a Safe Space

Open to all women-identifying MIDS students and faculty.

Women in MIDS Coffee Meetup this week is bringing back a popular event from last semester: PowerPoint Karaoke. It will be an interactive session for all of us to get a chance to hone our public speaking skills. PowerPoint Karaoke is an improvisational activity in which a participant must deliver a presentation based on a set of slides that they have never seen before.

Every round, 1-5 people will volunteer to speak with a deck that anyone can bring and put up for the volunteers. We will have 3-4 presentations. The speakers can choose to receive feedback or not. After the talk and feedback, we will move to the next presentation presented by another round of volunteer(s).
