5th Year MIDS Capstone Awards

During the final semester of the I School’s Master of Information and Data Science program, students undertake capstone projects which cement skills learned throughout the MIDS program — both core data science skills and “soft skills” like problem-solving, communication, influencing, and management — preparing students for success in the field.

Top 5th Year MIDS projects each year are awarded the 5th Year MIDS Capstone Award.

The 2020 and 2021 5th Year MIDS Capstone Awards are sponsored by Databricks, an industry-leading cloud-based data engineering tool used for processing and transforming massive quantities of data and exploring the data through machine learning models.
