Faculty Lecture
Prof. John Chuang’s research and teaching span the areas of climate informatics, biosensory computing, and incentive-centered design. He leads the BioSENSE Lab in studying brainwave authentication using passthoughts, affective biosensing, embodied decision-making, and privacy of ubiquitous sensing. His earlier work investigated strategic cybersecurity investments, incentives for peer production, and the scalability of multicast trees. This term, he is teaching Info 290T. Biosensory Computing.
MIMS Students and Alumni Panel
Leslie Noye is a first-year MIMS student focusing on human-computer interaction, product management, and entrepreneurship. He previously served as a Digital Marketing Consultant for Kankan Creative Agency and a Product Marketing Manager for Yelp. Leslie graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in marketing from University of Southern California.
Zoya Abdullah is a second-year MIMS student focusing on UX research. Zoya previously served as a Data and Product Manager for CDP. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics with minors in psychology and environmental studies from New York University.
Ian Castro, MIMS ’23, is a Political Database Manager at Equis Research. During the MIMS program, he focused on applied data science for public policy. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in media studies and microbiology from the University of California, Berkeley.
Brian Murphy, MIMS ’14, is a Product Manager at Meta. During the MIMS program, he focused on entrepreneurship, product development, and user experience. He graduated with an MBA from New York University and a bachelor's degree in Economics from Wake Forest University.
