Accessible Parking
Commencement parking is available in the Lower Sproul Garage (formerly MLK Student Union Garage), accessible via Bancroft Way and located under Zellerbach Hall. Commencement parking will be a $11 flat rate, payable by credit or debit card only (no cash).
Blue disabled parking (DP) spaces are available in the Lower Sproul Garage on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking cannot be reserved in advance. In order to park in a blue space, guests must have a state-issued blue disability placard/license plate in addition to paying the parking fee.
If the Lower Sproul Garage is full, additional pay parking is available at the RSF Garage (enter from Bancroft Way at Ellsworth St.) or the Telegraph-Channing Garage (enter from Channing Way or Durant Ave, below Telegraph). Disabled parking is available.
Public Transportation

Recommended Drop-off Location
There is no official loading zone adjacent to Zellerbach Auditorium. We recommend you pull to the north (right) side of Bancroft Way near Eshleman Hall, use your flashers, and allow the person out with a family member.
In Zellerbach Auditorium
Entrance
Zellerbach Auditorium’s main entrance is on the east side of the building and is accessible by a ramp on the southeast side of the building, closest to Eshleman Hall.

Accessible seating
Zellerbach Auditorium has multiple wheelchair and scooter-accessible locations where patrons can remain in their wheelchairs or transfer to theater seats.
If someone in your party uses a wheelchair, please contact Megan O’Connor with as much advance notice as possible and at least 7–10 days in advance of the event. We will work with the venue to reserve accessible seating for your party.
Elevators
Zellerbach Auditorium has an elevator that serves the orchestra and mezzanine levels.

Live Captions and Translation
Live closed captions will be provided for this event by a real-time captioner; for live captions, click the link below on your own phone or device. (This link will also be provided at the ceremony.)
Font size, style, color, and background color can be customized using the options at the top of the browser window. Once the event begins, the captions will appear within the window. To view a transcript after the event, please keep the window open and click on “Transcript” at the top of the screen. Copy and paste the transcript in your preferred word processor.
The captioning system will also include automated AI translation into Spanish or Mandarin, available at the same URL.
Access Live Captions and Translation
Assistive Listening Devices
Assistive listening devices (ALDs) amplify and clarify sound by cutting down or eliminating ambient noise. Devices are distributed free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact Megan O’Connor with as much advance notice as possible and at least 7–10 days in advance of the event to reserve an ALD. A driver’s license or government-issued identification will be required as a deposit for the device.
Service Dogs
Service dogs are always allowed on campus grounds and in campus buildings. More information on university policy regarding service animals.
