Google co-founder Sergey Brin made a surprise appearance as a guest lecturer in Professor Marti Hearst's class this week. Hearst, an Associate Professor in the I School invited Brin to speak to students in her Monday afternoon class, "Search Engines: Technology, Society, and Business." Seemingly casual and relaxed and looking like a student himself, Brin talked about the history of Google and answered students' questions about competition, censorship and bridging the digital divide.
