Scholars from across the country and around the world gather to share the latest research in the field of network economics at the 2013 Networks, Electronic Commerce and Telecommunications (NET) Institute conference, sponsored by the NET Institute, the UC Berkeley Institute for Business Innovation, the Haas School of Business, and the UC Berkeley School of Information.

As a global focal point of research in network industries, e-commerce, telecommunications, the Internet and virtual networks, the NET Institute has awarded approximately $200K in grants per year for the past nine years to support promising young researchers who are advancing the field.

The conference addresses topics such as net neutrality, monopoly pricing, news aggregators and cometition among newspapers on the Internet, regulation and cometition, and and auctions for online display advertising.
