Alumnus Charles Martell (DLS 1978) has released a new book of poems, A Man of Ampurdan: Grandfather's Spanish Civil War Poems, published this summer through Amazon.com's CreateSpace. Two of the poems may also be read on his personal website.
Dr. Martell is the dean and university librarian emeritus at California State University, Sacramento, and an adjunct professor for Drexel University's iSchool (the College of Information Science and Technology).
Dr. Martell received his bachelor's degree from Brown University, his MLS degree from Syracuse University, and his DLS degree from Berkeley's School of Library and Information Science, where he also served as a lecturer. He is currently working on his fourth novel.
