The School of Information is happy to announce the appointment of Coye Cheshire as associate dean.
Cheshire is a sociologist and an associate professor at the School of Information, where he has been on the faculty since 2005. He studies social exchange, cooperation, trust, and interpersonal relationships in computer-mediated environments. He received his Ph.D. in sociology from Stanford University.
As associate dean, Cheshire will be responsible for academic oversight of the I School’s two degree programs (MIMS and Ph.D.). He will work with faculty and staff on admissions, program, curriculum, scheduling, advising, and staffing for the School’s degree programs.
