Biography
For the past 7 years, I have been working in the energy industry focusing on engineering of more sustainable and efficient building energy and automation systems. My educational background is predominantly in engineering having received my B.S in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, as well as my M.S in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. Over the last 7 years, my roles have primarily included developing sustainable & renewable energy systems, mechanical engineering of efficient buildings, design & optimization of automation control systems, and analytics of operational datasets to uncover inefficiencies. Through the Berkeley MIDs program, I am looking forward to being able to further leverage advanced data science skillsets towards expanding the possibilities and uncovering new data-driven opportunities in the fields of sustainable & efficient energy systems, energy automation & control systems, and smart cities infrastructure.
Additional energy industry certifications include being a licensed professional engineer in IL, as well as holding my LEED AP and Certified Energy Manager (CEM) accreditations.
