Dustin Burt

Please: call me Matt.  I am the Director of Health Economics/Analytics at Buckeye Health Plan, a subsidiary of the Centene Corporation, that provides payer and managed care services for the Medicaid, Medicare (SNP), and Marketplace populations in the state of Ohio.  In my position, I oversee and participate in the reporting, analytical, and operational functions across health economics, clinical outcomes research, and risk adjustment.

My professional expertise includes programming (C/C++/C#, Python, R, and SQL [ANSI, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and Teradata]), statistical analysis (Bayesian over frequentist, for the most part), (health care) risk adjustment methodologies, and applied machine learning (particularly clustering, CART, and SVM).

I have spent nearly all of my career in health care, and I really appreciated learning about the application of data science in other arenas.  I was truly enriched by meeting all of you in the MIDS program!
