Biography
I am a Senior Engineer working at Intel Corporation, Santa Clara. I have been working in the field of HW/SW/ASIC/FPGA design for the past 20-years. I have a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Instrumentation, MS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a MBA degree in technology management. As a Computer Engineer I have always been fascinated by interaction of various building blocks that form a complex computing environment. I have always been intrigued by how these varying systems interact to meet the required performance targets and efforts needed to architect the system to meet the stated end goals. Over the years I have developed the ability to quickly understand any complex computing environment, identify bottlenecks and propose (and implement) architecture as well as design solutions to solve problems. During these years I always felt the need to involve myself in a multi-disciplinary field which would combine my experience that builds/solves complex computing problems with analyzing raw data to create meaningful definitions that can go into building better products. I have been exploring at equipping myself (for quite some time) with the skills that are needed to analyze market data to create innovative products more in line with public consumption. As sphere of influence of computing devices increases, the need to analyze and come up with meaningful interpretation of market data to influence new products becomes imperative. A degree in MIDS would hopefully set me on that path.
