Hello there! I'm thrilled to introduce myself as your instructor for Network Security. With a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, and 8+ years of R&D experience in the Bay Area, I've spent my entire professional life immersed in the world of computer networks and the internet.

As an engineer at a hyperscaler in the Bay Area, I've had the privilege of planning, building, and operating networks on a global scale. My research focus has been on Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networks (SDN), with a particular interest in data-plane programming and network telemetry, including applications to network security such as DDoS detection.

I've been teaching Network Security since 2021, and I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and expertise with you. My classes are designed to be both technical and engaging, covering the fundamental principles of Cyber Security. I believe that this topic is crucial in today's digital landscape, and I strive to make my classes informative, interactive, and enjoyable.

In addition to the course material, I enjoy discussing various topics related to the internet, such as its history, recent developments, interview tips, and even my experiences with hotel wifi while traveling.
