We are hoping to save lives through CrowdStop.AI, which is a crowd crush prediction system that employs a camera network to alert authorities when crowd densities approach dangerous levels. We hope to leverage multiple object tracking models within a graph database, which can provide us with a holistic view of crowd densities across multiple street blocks or points of interest. Other companies have products in this field but they are geared towards queue times, not public safety.

There have been several large crowd crush incidents over the last few years that have killed thousands of people across the world, and we hope that the utilization of this system can alert authorities before incidents occur, rather than after. Every big city across the world could use this technology to make their streets, stadiums, and concert venues safer, keeping our friends and fellow citizens safe while alleviating the burden on law enforcement and public safety officials.

Our mission statement is to implement an crowd monitoring system using a network of security cameras, to automatically detect and alert authorities in real-time when crowd densities approach potentially critical levels in any given node.
