Methodology

Integrating Google's MediaPipe Face LandMarker with our 9 custom Machine Learning models, our innovative app revolutionizes the face yoga experience by providing real-time, precise facial landmark detection. Leveraging an extensive dataset of  ~8,000 meticulously annotated yoga pose image frames across 9 poses extracted from several tutorial videos, our algorithms can track facial movements and expressions during face yoga sessions.

The real-time feedback mechanism serves as a virtual face yoga instructor, guiding users towards proper pose alignment and encouraging them to maintain the correct facial muscle engagement. When the app detects that the user has achieved the ideal pose, the timer notification reinforces their progress and empowers them to keep the pose for the recommended duration.
