Level Up: Essential Skills for Early Career Leaders
Build critical skills to launch your post-grad career with impact
This dynamic four-part workshop series, facilitated by expert guest speakers and I School and MaCSS Career Services, is designed for students with up to five years of professional experience. Participants will gain core skills necessary for advancing their careers and career readiness, including storytelling, advocacy, and leadership. By the end of the series, students will have actionable tools to make informed decisions, drive impact in the workplace, and lead with confidence as they transition into the next phase of their careers post-graduation.
By the end of this workshop series, students will have developed the following essential skills:
Effective public speaking and storytelling skills: learn how to craft compelling narratives and deliver impactful presentations to engage diverse audiences.
Personal and professional growth: gain insight into personal strengths and how to leverage them for professional growth and leadership.
Self-advocacy strategies: develop strategies for advocating for yourself and successfully managing relationships with supervisors and peers to advance your career.
Career design & goal setting: apply practical frameworks to design a fulfilling career path, incorporating personal values, skills, and aspirations.
Leadership presence & influence: Build the confidence and communication skills necessary to lead with impact, inspire teams, and navigate organizational dynamics effectively.

The workshop series is open to MIMS & MaCSS students.
Space is limited. We will prioritize May 2025 grads with 5 years or less of overall work experience, but if space is available, others may also be admitted. Application deadline: February 2, 2025.
