Course Description
The purpose of this course is to provide a health care industry context for information systems as an important element for student work in
systems design and evaluation. Specifically, I hope to:
- Provide an overview of issues and trends which will shape the need for and structures of information systems within health care:demographic, epidemiological, social and technological.
- Identity and explore key topics in health care information systems: background, issues, examples, implications for future development.
NOTE: This course was previously offered as Info 290: Information Systems and Health Care. May not be taken for credit if student has previously taken Info 290: Information Systems and Health Care.
