With the risk of dismantling federal law enforcement agencies, former director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and FTC commissioner Rohit Chopra will join us to discuss the future of policing Silicon Valley and Wall Street, particularly when it comes to risks posed by artificial intelligence and personalized pricing. He will share how state governments will play a larger role in setting the rules of the road on privacy, antitrust, and consumer protection.

About the Speaker
Rohit Chopra served as director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from 2021 until his removal in February 2025. During his tenure, the agency obtained nearly $10 billion in victim refunds and penalties from firms that violated the law. He previously served as commissioner on the Federal Trade Commission from 2018 to 2021, where he played a major role in reviving the agency’s lax approach to antitrust and privacy law enforcement. He holds a BA from Harvard and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
