Principal UX Writer (All Turtles)

As a principal UX writer, you’ll strategically define and shape the voices of the products we develop. Because many of our products are conversational interfaces, your expertise is an essential part of the design process. As a member of our experienced, close-knit design and product team, you’ll partner with UX research, product design, and brand design. By implementing, documenting, and sharing best practices, you’ll empower product teams and set the standard of quality for early-stage products.

This person will be responsible for:

• Writing product language as a part of product and feature design teams
• Providing product language feedback and recommendations
• Offering strategic guidance on designing with language
• Establishing consistency across brand, marketing, and product content
• Creating style guides and documenting best practices
• Identifying and prioritizing opportunities where UX writing can improve user experiences and meet business goals
• Facilitating workshops and conversations that help product teams design with language

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of direct UX writing or product content strategy experience
• Experience guiding early-stage product teams in UX best practices
• Ability to balance individual contributor work with strategic thinking and UX direction
• Ability to create lightweight, highly collaborative processes
• Ability to articulate the product design process to diverse audiences
• A portfolio of effective UX writing
