Position Description:
Data Scientist is responsible for delivering statistical models, segmentation analysis, and customer insights that will inform business decisions.
This position drives best in class applications for developing learning plans and test design, identifying KPIs, analytics plans, and optimization recommendations for campaigns maintaining analytical rigor.
This role goes beyond pulling numbers and crunching data- the objective is to convert our raw data into meaningful and actionable business analysis and insights that will drive quality traffic to the site and help us drive higher levels of consumer engagement as well as revenue.
You will partner with our various teams to structure problems, extract and analyze data and present findings and recommendations to our leadership teams.
Responsibilities:
- Build and enhance machine learning models to learn Consumer Insights.
- Develop/Enhance in-house distributed machine learning systems built on Hadoop, Spark, R and Hbase.
- Build Analytics and Reporting capabilities.
Job Qualifications:
- Production coding skills in Java or Scala
- Experience in dealing with eCommerce Consumer Data.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases
- Analysis tools such as R.
- Experience working with large data sets, experience working with distributed computing a plus (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Apache Spark, etc)
