This position is for the Mays Innovation Research Center, an interdisciplinary center at Texas A&M University that is dedicated to the study of innovation. We support faculty research, engage students, host events, and distribute our knowledge broadly to the campus, scholars, policymakers, managers, and the public at large.
Part of its mission is to grow the base of faculty who research innovation on campus. In addition, we'd like to recruit faculty who employ economics-based approaches in their study of innovation. Specifically, it is looking to recruit faculty who use methods from Crowdsourcing and/or Human Computation to the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. It works with departments to contribute to the overall package, and hopefully, to recruit top candidates to our campus.
The center is looking for assistant professors, either new Ph.D.'s or candidates who received their Ph.D. in recent years. The candidate will reside in the Computer Science Department at A&M, but the Center will supplement the package with summer research money, extra research support, a travel budget, supplemental startup packages, and/or a budget to organize a conference. The Center trying to create a win for the department, the university, and the Center by identifying strong candidates and offering them an above-market package.

If the applicant doesn't complete the Google Form, our Center won't be able to advocate for the candidate.
