Business Analyst Intern - eCommerce (Bio-Rad)

Overview

Bio-Rad is looking for a Business Analyst Intern to support our eCommerce team.

Bio-Rad’s Summer Internship Program offers paid internships to qualified college students. Our program gives students the opportunity to work with an industry leader in Life Science Research and Clinical Diagnostics. Internships are available in a variety of disciplines, providing students the opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment, instruments, and facilities.

Responsibilities

• The intern will be a member of the Corporate IT e-Business team and will perform business analysis on requests related to enhancements and defect fixes for Bio-Rad’s customer facing website.
• Responsibilities include analyzing the requests, clarifying with the business team what is really needed, and using the HP Quality Center tool to document the requirements in a way that both the business and technical teams can understand.
• These requirements will then be implemented in future releases of the website.
• The intern will gain valuable analytical and career skills and will have the opportunity to see in action the Software Development Life Cycle—the journey of requirements as they transform into designs, then to code, and eventually into website functionalities that our customers can use.

Qualifications

• The intern should have earned a high school diploma and be currently pursuing a degree related to computer science or information systems.
• The intern must have experience in programming and basic knowledge of the software development process. The intern must also have working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• The intern must have excellent analytical skills, strong communication skills, the ability to learn quickly, and the willingness to work in a team environment.
