Professor Morten T. Hansen's new book, "Collaboration: How Leaders Avoid the Traps, Create Unity and Reap Big Results," will be released by Harvard Business Press in May 2009.
In the book, Hansen questions the conventional wisdom that company-wide collaboration is always a successful strategy. In fact, sought-after synergies are rarely realized, and most cross-unit collaborative efforts end up wasting time, money, and resources. In this book, Hansen shows managers how to avoid the costly traps of collaboration and instead start getting the results they need.
Morten Hansen is a professor in the School of Information studying business, management, and entrepreneurship.
