Alumni Start-Up LeadGenius is One of the Bay Area’s Hottest

These are the 10 hottest Bay Area startups with under $10M in funding

Investors may be cooling on early stage tech startups but that there are still some hot young companies in the sector, if you know where to look.

The folks at startup research company Mattermark did that for their subscribers last week, ranking 582 Bay Area companies that have raised $10 million or less. The growth scores of these 10 rose to the top, showing strong early traction....

2. LeadGenius (979): This one is a cloud-based sales acceleration software provider based in Berkeley. Co-founder and CEO Prayag Narula has grown his work force by more than 50 percent in the past six months to 212. He has raised about $6 million since launching in 2011. Investors include 500 Startups, Andreessen Horowitz, Sierra Ventures, SV Angel and Y Combinator President Sam Altman.
