Biography
My undergraduate background is in Psychology and Cognitive Science (the latter with a specialization in design and HCI). I'm hoping to continue exploring HCI and I'd like to build a career in UX research and UI design, although I am still exploring. Professionally, I am a graphic design intern for the National Park Service, where I take mortality and injury data from parks to create visual products that promote health and safety. It's important to me that I can incorporate social sciences as well as visual design in my work.
Outside of academics and work, I love to cook and bake. I love food as a topic in general! In my free time, I run a silly little food blog on Instagram where I post pictures of what I make as well as review typical snacks found in supermarkets. I also love to paint (watercolors and acrylics) and do digital illustrations. In addition, I enjoy hiking and going to the gym, even though I wouldn't call myself very athletic. Last but not least, I'm trying to reignite my childhood love for reading, so send recommendations my way!
