Julia Kauffmann

For the past decade, I've worked in children's television, creating shows for Nickelodeon, Disney Jr., and the BBC, to name a few. I started my career at an animation studio in New York and most recently served as creative director for a studio in Shanghai. I donned creative (writing, directing, animating) and technical caps (programming animation and render tools) during that time.

After becoming frustrated by clumsy attempts at inclusivity by the industry, I'm interested in leveraging data science and analytics to advocate for gender, race/ethnicity, LGBTQIA+, and disability representation in entertainment.

Currently, I reside in Portland, Oregon with my wonderful daughter.
