MaKenzie Muller

After graduating with a degree in Information Systems from Cal Poly SLO, I've spent the last 5 years with a consulting firm in the Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics and eDiscovery field. I specializes in forensically sound collections, investigations, and response to regulatory inquiries, and have enjoyed my time traveling around the country to perform several hundred forensic image collections and analyses over the years. I was drawn to data science to help make sense of the terabytes of data we encounter from user devices each day - especially the ability to make sense of large sets of data and communicate key findings. I'm deeply interested in mobile phone and app data, and am looking to strenghten my coding skills, security & privacy concepts, and visualization methods through MIDS. Having grown up in the Bay Area, I'm happy to be attending a program near home! In my free time I love to travel, bake, and practice pottery.
