Max Kaufmann

As a strong believer in the transformational power of digitalisation, I investigate molecular disease mechanisms of multiple sclerosis using a high-throughput, data-driven approach. By treating patients as a physician and observing the current limitations of available medicines first-hand, I draw great motivation to extend beyond these boundaries with my research. I have applied for the MIDS program to extend my data science skills in preparation for starting my own computational biology lab and scaling up my science. I look forward to engaging with, and be inspired by, fellow students from diverse fields and backgrounds and I hope to contribute an interesting perspective with my background in medicine, life science research and bioinformatics.
