As a student in the Master of Information and Data Science (MIDS) program at UC Berkeley, Ruiyu has focused on applying advanced data science methodologies to diverse domains, including finance, political data, and sustainability. Her work has included deep learning, time series analysis, and collaborative visualization projects, such as analyzing mental health sentiment and improving data center energy efficiency. Through the MIDS program, Ruiyu has honed her ability to design innovative, data-informed solutions that drive meaningful outcomes across various industries.

Biography

Ruiyu completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester, earning triple degrees in Physics, Data Science, and Applied Mathematics. Her multidisciplinary academic background provided her with a strong foundation in analytical thinking, quantitative problem-solving, and technical expertise. During her time at Rochester, Ruiyu developed a passion for using data-driven insights to address complex challenges at the intersection of technology, mathematics, and societal impact.
