Mapestry is a suite of digital tools for collecting and sharing family histories.

Mapestry's goal is to make it easier for individuals to collect oral histories, especially from family members, and to create a visual narrative from this family history. Using maps, photographs, and other media to complement the audio recordings of family interviews, the story would come to life in the right context. Unlike genealogy sites like ancestry.com, which specialize in facts and historical data, our platform would optimize the narrative. It’s a place for preserving family stories.
