Skindex

Skindex is an AI-powered search and discovery platform that enables users to find skincare and cosmetic products that are compatible with their skin. By leveraging existing cosmetic research on comodogenity, demographic data and machine learning, Skindex can analyze patterns from different users’ skin types and learn what ingredients might be causing a bad reaction, providing the user with instant feedback and automated product recommendations, ultimately resulting in a new way to discover skincare and cosmetic products.

Currently, there aren’t any existing tools that allow consumers to figure out what ingredients are causing them negative reactions. What we aim to do with Skindex is abstract the ingredient cross referencing process to provide impactful insights to help contextualize the consumer search and discovery process.

With Skindex, users will be able to provide previous product usage and reaction history.  From there, we’ll be able to create individual skin profiles and analyze which common ingredients are present across previous problem products. Using our platform, users can then search and discover products that are safe for their skin’s unique attributes. As the user continues to update their usage history, we can provide more granular product recommendations and insights about their skin.
