HOMER: Home Optimization Management of Energy Resources

Homes around the world are slowly adopting green energy resources including wind and solar generation. And while these resources are providing a more sustainable and environmentally friendly option for powering the home, they aren't always the most efficient methods.

Project Objectives

•  Predict what local grid energy costs will be.
•  Use previous consumption data to anticipate future home energy consumption.
•  Optimize individual solar, battery, and grid energy use.

The goal of this project is to provide a proof-of-concept model using reinforcement learning that minimizes energy costs for the consumer.
