CoralSense addresses the urgent issue of coral reef degradation due to climate change, overfishing, pollution, and other human activities. Coral reefs are declining rapidly, and traditional conservation methods often lack the integration of critical data needed to predict vulnerability and prioritize conservation efforts effectively.

• Why It Matters: Coral reefs support 25% of marine species, provide livelihoods for half a billion people, and contribute $36 billion annually to the global economy through tourism. Without intervention, the loss of coral reefs will have devastating ecological, economic, and societal impacts.
