FrontLine Horizon - Smart Security Starts Here
MICS Capstone Project Spring 2025

Frontline Horizon

The Frontline Horizon tool is designed to be used from the least technical to the most technical decision makers in an organization. Using a guided, adaptable questionnaire, the user provides the necessary information for our custom logic (risk quantification) and AI integration to create a baseline of cybersecurity risk posture, and provide recommendations on how to improve it using leading control frameworks (CIS, NIST). The goal of Frontline Horizon is to make cybersecurity risk management accessible to organizations who may not have the funds or expertise to run a cybersecurity program.

Our dynamic questionnaire is the mechanism to gather information on the environment, both technical and business strategy, to align cybersecurity goals with the business posture and goals, providing security in context to the organization. By creating that context, Frontline Horizon enables Risk-Informed Decision-Making for smaller enterprises, non-profits, and other organizations that may not have the means to have a cybersecurity staff. This provides a key differentiator, where Frontline Horizon does not just provide the user with a canned, generic playbook, but seeks to understand the context of the environment to provide real-world value.

With the accessibility of modern AI, we are able to provide some of the context and determined cyber risks and have a dynamic response, truly making each suggestion personally tailored to the user's organization. While providing best practices and a secure baseline is important, and included in Frontline Horizon, being able to provide dynamic suggestions has equipped our tool, and user's organizations, for future growth and opportunity.

We are the Frontline, the blocker of malicious actors, providing a secure baseline, but also always looking forward, towards new opportunity, new challenges, towards the Horizon.
