Privacy Made Personal: Giving Control Back to End Users
Generation Z, the most digitally native generation, engages in a striking privacy paradox: despite sharing more personal information online than any previous generation, they remain deeply concerned about digital privacy (Oliver Wyman Forum). Their privacy management techniques are often reactive, rather than proactive, highlighting gaps in digital literacy and accessible protections. Emerging technologies such as AI agents amplify this tension, as users trade privacy for convenience without fully understanding the risks.
Navigating privacy in this complex, ever-evolving landscape is challenging. This project endeavors to develop a tool that enhances privacy awareness and offers personalized recommendations, addressing users’ privacy concerns and risks. By educating and empowering Gen Z with these practical strategies, we aim to overcome the privacy paradox and foster digital trust in the age of AI.
