Roin Nance

With nearly 30 years’ experience in systems/financial auditing, risk management, IT security and compliance management, Roin Nance is an accomplished and knowledgeable risk and security consultant with a strong focus on cyber risk strategy, project and program delivery, and maximizing ROI. He has vast experience in developing new business opportunities, leading sales efforts, and delivering security, governance, risk and compliance services to clients. Roin has worked with numerous Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 clients on multi-year security initiatives, ranging from IT/cybersecurity strategy to the detailed design and deployment of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions.

Prior to founding Xcelit, Roin served as Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Edgile, an Information Security consulting firm headquartered in Austin, TX and led the firm’s Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Practice. While serving as senior manager in Deloitte’s Enterprise Risk, Security, and Privacy group, he advised client executives on IT strategies, IT operations, and risk, compliance and security solutions and provided security and compliance services to many of Deloitte’s global clients. He built and led Deloitte’s West Coast application and integration center. For several Deloitte clients, Roin served as interim COO and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). While at Edgile and Deloitte, Roin was responsible for developing several GRC and IT security practices.  

Roin is a retired United States Air Force officer with over 30 years of military experience (10 years active duty). Roin has held positions as a chief of staff, squadron commander, logistic war planner, financial officer, systems audit manager, and aircraft crew chief. He was granted Top Secret and SCI Clearance, and currently holds CISA, CIPP-IT and CPA certifications and MSBA in Information Systems Auditing, California Polytechnic University, Pomona and BS in Information Systems Management, California State University, Sacramento.
